The Fall Of A Leader

When a great leader falls because of a lack of integrity, it is
very painful for all involved. Tearing another person down to
build yourself up, only leads to a false impression of yourself.

When someone is tearing others down in front of You this is
a guarantee they will do the same to You behind Your back.
Ultimately you will crash and burn from your lack of character.

The question is:

Would You Want This Person As Your Sponsor ?

Life can give us challenges in many areas of our life. How we
handle those challenges ourselves and who helps us, can
determine our success or failure. Loyalty to do the right thing
enters into all decisions. Friendships built on loyalty and trust
are like support beams for a foundation.

A foundation is the beginning. This applies to your marriage,
your friendships, your home and your business. If you build
them correctly, they will sustain you your lifetime. If you
build carelessly everything will crumble around you.

Leaders are built. Day by day, Lesson by lesson. When a
leader chooses to fall, they sacrifice their integrity, their
honor and their character.

If after knowing the facts and fully utilizing their "critical
thinking skills" when someone decides to leave Your Team
please wish them all the best.

Excerpt from "Launching a Leadership Revolution"
Foundational Leadership Quality: Honorable

Integrity can be considered as the condition of "not doing
what's wrong." Character can be defined as doing the right
things, for the mere reason that it is the right thing, even if
that thing is difficult and unpopular.

The two sewn together make honor. Author Jeff O'Leary,
in The Centurion Principles, writes, " 'Honor' encompasses
the virtues of integrity and honesty, self-denial, loyalty, and
a servant's humility to those in authority above as well as a
just and merciful heart to those below."

Honor is such a rarely used word in our times that it seems
a little old-fashioned. But living a life of integrity and character
is timeless and, for a leader, absolutely necessary. It's about
choices, and a person's choices in life follow him to the grave.

Is this to say that a person needs to be perfect to become a
leader? Of course not. Perfection in this life is not possible,
and we, the authors, are certainly not exceptions. However,
a leader must strive continually toward perfection even though
she knows she can never exactly attain it.

It is a question of the heart. The most effective leaders through
out history have led with their hearts, in trust, and with honor.
If a leader cuts corners, misuses people, or misrepresents, the
truth, a time bomb begins ticking. Someday, somewhere, the
bomb will go off. It is obvious in our times only too often: public
figures at the pinnacles of power and fame crash and burn in
the cloud of self-inflicted shame. From political scandals to
high-profile corporate frauds, these calamities are brought
on by a lack of honor in the leadership.

"Human happiness and moral duty are inseparably connected."

The difference between leaders we revile and those we praise
is their individual level of honor. In fact, honor is the force that
holds a leader's hunger in check.

Without honor, hunger runs rampant and ultimately serves
only selfish interests. Honor is the component that makes
hunger productive for the leader's fellow man. In fact, what
we are basically describing here is another "old-fashioned"
word: duty.

George Washington said of duty, "Human happiness and
moral duty are inseparably connected." So leadership is
spawned by hunger and held in check by honor.

Under that combination, leaders will find happiness in the
fulfillment of their duty to others. It has been said that the
character of a man is the only thing that will walk back
from the grave into the hearts of the people who knew him.

That is the legacy of a leader. The words a leader say and
the walk a leader walks must match. As the saying goes,
"Your word is your worth and your worth is your word."

Andy Stanley, author of The Next Generation Leader, says,
"To become a leader worth following you must give time and
attention to the inner man.

To leave a legacy that goes beyond accomplishment alone,
a leader must devote himself to matters of the heart."
Character is developed in the valleys and the peaks of life,
enabling a person to overcome obstacles and deal with
success.

Abraham Lincoln observed, "Nearly all men can handle
adversity, but if you really want to test a man's character -
give him power." Character connects a person to what is
right and true.

If reputation is what others think of you, then character is
what God knows about you. This concept of honor is so
important to a leader because people will follow a leader
only as far as they feel they can trust him.

People will not follow a leader they can't trust. According
to R. Ruth Barton, "We set young leaders up for a fall if
we encourage them to envision what they can do before
they consider the kind of person they should be.

" Warren Bennis tells us, "In the leadership arena,
character counts. I am not saying this casually, of studies,
observations, and interviews with leaders and with the
people near them.... I've never seen a person derailed
from [leadership] positions for lack of technical competence.

But I've seen lots of people derailed for lack of judgment
and character." And, as Heraclitus said, "Man's character
is his fate." Finally, it should be remembered that a major
component of honor is personal courage.

Without the courage to do what's right because it's right,
regardless of ramifications to self, one is not truly worthy
to be called a leader.

When people don't "Believe" they deserve Success they
will self destruct every time.... This is the reason we tell
everyone we meet to "Participate" in the 30 Day Mental
Cleanse if You want to own Your life.

Network Marketing Software - The Big Mistake Most Companies Make

Most MLM companies rent their software. But they can never tweak it to fit their business model, and the distributor base suffers.

Let me give you a story on that. I was consulting for a network marketing company out in Utah.¬ They had a binary compensation plan, in other words a 2-legged plan - one left, one right. Real simple, right?

But the software they leased could not be changed from left to right, to reflect the binary. They tried.

They Had To Pay The Programmers To Come Back In & Reprogram It!

You would think that was a simple, simple, simple fix. But it couldn't be fixed over a 6 month period.

Here's what happened. Let's say you already have your strong leg going well. Now you go into your back office and put all your new sign-ups on your weak leg.

And you're building, building. You have ads running on the internet. People are joining you and your business is growing. And you think they're going on your weak leg.

All of a sudden, you find out they are all going on your strong leg. And in a binary, you only get paid based on your weak leg production. So this is a real problem.

Now You Have To Fight With The Company To Move Your People!

And what was so amazing about that process that I witnessed was, the company went out and hired more and more and more customer service people to handle the paperwork to move these new reps. And then they started charging the distributors $10 each to move the people that the company messed up on in the first place.

Finally, they got so overrun with people wanting to change these positions back over to their weak leg where they should have been in the first place - that they finally said, "We are not switching anybody anymore!" They couldn't handle all the influx of people needing that done.

Now that's a perfect example of buying your software and not being able to tweak it at all.

And when you rent the software, you better read the fine print, because you don't own the database.

You Do Not Own The Database!

About a year and a half ago, I saw a downline genealogy for sale on the internet. I happen to know the owners of the company. I called them up and said "Hey! What's going on? My gosh, your company is doing good, isn't it?"

"Yeah. Company is doing great. But we couldn't afford to buy the software, so we leased it. And part of the lease deal is, the software company owns the database."

And this software company thought it would be great to make an extra $100,000. So they put the genealogy for sale on the internet and sold it to 10 companies for $10,000 apiece. So they made a quick $100,000 selling the genealogy. And right in the Policies and Procedures, it said that the software company owned the genealogy. It was right there, right in black and white. How would you like to build your business and then have your organization for sale on the internet?

So before you build big with some company, ask them who owns their software. If they don't own it, then you could lose everything in a heartbeat.

The big reason they rent it is because it costs them about $2 million to buy it. They can rent it for about $10,000 a month. Most companies don't have the 2 million dollars to spend up front.

But the other thing is, if you really truly, understand your business and it functions, doesn't it make more sense to have someone program your specific software? Then you can work with them.

You Want a Company That Has Built Their Software From The Ground Up!

When the company has built it and owns it, the distributor base is protected.

Instead, these guys get the idea to start a network marketing company, and 10 minutes later, they are in business. So they call the software companies and find out it's 2, 3, 4 million dollars to buy the software program, but you can rent it for 4, 5, 10 grand a month and you're in business!

Now they know this is a tough business, and there's a very real chance they won't even be around 2 years. Taking on a $2 million obligation doesn't make sense to them. $10,000 a month is definitely the way to go. Problem is, you've sold your soul to the devil.

An Evil Secret

Another thing that software companies will do is - and this is a very well kept secret - they will be in partners with that MLM company. So there is a downline organization, a leg being built by the MLM company for the software company.

That creates a retirement income for the software company on the backs of the distributors. How hard is it for the owners of the MLM company to move all their orphan distributors underneath the software company and build them a nice check? That's a very, very, very tightly kept secret,

It's just one more reason you need to build your future with a company that owns its own software.

This article was written by Michael Dlouhy. I found the information in this article to be very educational and so I thought I would share it.

Choose a company for long term

Quick cash = quick crash.

Normal people can't sleep at night when they have ripped off people and stolen their dreams. You have to get this understanding.

Network marketing is a business that can pay you and your children and your children's children for the rest of their lives - when you build it with a "5 Pillars" company. For details on a "5 Pillars" company, go to 5 Pillars to Success

But so many people get sucked in to "build it fast." I just did a call with a very excited lady. She's in a binary and tells me, "Oh, they put me in a spot where I've already got 1100 people down one leg."

Good. How much money are you making?

"Well ... none, yet!"

And that is because they don't pay anything on the strong leg. They pay it on the weak leg ... which no one will ever give you. You have to build that one. But they'll promise you all those people on your strong leg, because it doesn't cost them anything, and many people will just sign up because they don't know any better.

Don't fall for the scams. Build for the long-term.

Whats holding you back - Could it be fear?

What’s holding you back from letting go and becoming the person you dream of becoming?

Whatever you think it is, if you get it back to the root cause, it always stems from one thing, fear; fear of failure, fear of success, fear that we’re not good enough, you name it, but the truth is, you are good enough, you do deserve to live your dream life and only once you realize that most fear has no basis in reality will you ever have the courage to go after that life with all you’ve got.

Anytime we step outside our comfort zone we’re always going to feel some fear, but those individuals who achieve things we admire don’t do so because they never felt fear, they just weren’t willing to let fear rob them of their dreams and took action in spite of the fear, the question is, are you going to let fear rob you of the opportunity to live a life most will only ever dream of?

Remember if you can dream it you can have it! When we take action the fear will disappear. What is stopping you from taking action? I would encourage you to step out of your comfort zone.

You Can Train Your Thoughts Like You'd Train a Dog

Train your thoughts like you'd train a dog?

Does that sound ridiculous? OK. Look at it this way. Your thoughts come from a combination of your background & environment, your life experience, and your observations. And the way you look at each of those is entirely under your control.

You've probably noticed that things change out there in the world. Life can be very unpredictable at times. And yet the biggest problem most people have is that they expect they will get the same bad results in the future as they got last week - or 10 years ago.

You can train your brain to think the way you want it to, to achieve the best MLM results. And you must. Train yourself to focus better, and you will be a different person. Set a goal of making faster decisions - maybe put yourself on a timer for tough decisions, so you don't stew over them. Right or wrong, just go ahead. You will become a more effective & happier person.

A lot of people think they need more information to make a decision. In the real world, you often still make the wrong choice even with a lot more information. So you're better off to just make a choice, execute it, find out if it's right or wrong, and then keep going or change course, based on the feedback you get from life.

That is a LOT like you'd train a dog. It's very simple. Just take the same attitude toward your own mind. Put yourself in charge, and tell it what to do. Your life goes a lot better that way

To your success!

TAKE RESPONSIBILITY NOW !!

Your're going to have to take responsibility at some point. Go ahead, get out in front of the situation, and grab that responsibility as soon as you can.
Realize that even though it's not your fault, it it impacts your world it is your responsibility. Responsibility means doing what you can, with all you have,to bring about a positive outcome.

It's easy to slosh around endlessly in a swamp full of excuses. But after all that sloshing, as impressive as it may be, you'll still be mired in a swamp.
Instead, climb out, step up and seize the opportunity to make a difference. Now is when your actions can bring real value to your world.
Stand up, take responsibility, and you'll stand out from the crowd. Step forward, get to work, and transform challange into achievement.

By truly taking responsibility, you immediately begin to improve whatever situation your're in. By following through with that responsibility, you truly become master of your own destiny.

Embarrassed About Working From Home?

Are you embarrassed for people to know that you work from home? Do you tell your friends and family about what you do for a living (or what you do part time)? When someone asks you what you do do you avoid telling them the truth? If so you might be hurting yourself and your paycheck in your home based business.

If you’re embarrassed about working from home there is really no reason to be. Network marketing is a totally legal, ethical and legitimate way to make money. It’s a real business and it’s nothing to be ashamed of. I have come across a lot of different types of people through the years and I have found that the people who are embarrassed or ashamed of their home based business goals are the ones who don’t tend to make very much money or the ones who drop out and quit before ever truly realizing your success.

I guess it could be considered normal for someone to be a little ashamed of working from home. After all the public opinion of network marketing isn’t exactly great. A lot of people still wrongfully view home based businesses as scams or schemes instead of what they actually all, legitimate businesses.
However, if you are going to be a part of a home based business you need to get over that and fast! Otherwise you might not ever have the kind of success that you want to have.

A prospect can pick up on someone who isn’t confident in what they’re talking about and nobody wants to be in business with someone who isn’t sure of themselves.
Many people feel like they want to hide their business from their friends and family until they start making a lot of money and then they’ll shout it from the rooftops but that’s not a good thing to do either. Your friends and family will probably just want to support you and who knows perhaps some of them will even go into business WITH you! So keeping it a secret isn’t a good idea.

Don’t be ashamed or embarrassed by working from home. It’s a smart and savvy thing to do in these economic times and it’s defiantly nothing to be embarrassed about!

I really enjoyed reading this article written by Christian Gingras

Working from home has been a great joy to be. I totally love being able to choose the hours I work and be in charge of my schedule. I also let friends and family know about my products. Some of them haven't wanted to join me, but will gladly purchase products from me.
