Some Things I've Learned In Network Marketing

I'm 56 years old. A few years ago, on a cross-country flight, I realized that I am living my "WHY". That was an emotional event.

We don't do this because we have to. We do this because we love to do it. That's why we do a dozen or more training calls a week. It's our passion.

I come from a hard background. I love what Randy Gage says. He says, "My family life - we were the Addams Family on crack cocaine." I think mine was even worse.

My parents took me out of school in the 9th grade. I don't have formal education, but I have life lessons. I truly believe that if I can become successful, then anybody can.

My passion is to share that with others, to let them know they can do it, too. It starts with communicating. People don't listen to people. More than anything else, we teach them how to do that.

One absolute truth I've learned over the years -

- plays a very big part in the success we've had so far. And that is:
Leaders are readers.

That's why we put together a complete system to leverage this truth. We offer my "Success In 10 Steps" ebook at for free.

And here's the secret. There are no affiliate links. No affiliate program. We're not trying to get them in the deal, not selling any widgets. There are no catches. It's just giving others the benefit of what I've learned in 27 years.

And leaders are readers. When you give away a quality ebook, you attract leaders. And those are the people you want.

We used this system for years with another ebook. I have a list of people I've been following up with for years. And suddenly, here and there, they call to join my business. And some of them bring a LOT of people with them. It can change your life overnight.

It's about relationships. It's about caring. If you think internet marketing is a sales business, you're sadly mistaken. It is a relationship business.

You can create "know, like & trust" with your copy. Read it. You'll see it. To survive, you must create & build relationships.

You need to get the money out of the equation.

When the money's out of there and you're talking to somebody with no agenda, you can truly listen and be there for them.

When a boy & girl go on a date, there's an agenda. Most guys have one thing on their mind. How tense is that? Are they warm & open? No. They're apprehensive, because they both know what the agenda is. They know what the young man has on his mind.

How would it be if 2 people went on a date and they just wanted to get to know each other? No agenda. How much more enjoyable would that date be?

And how much more successful & happy would people be in business if the money wasn't the focus? if they had no agenda? The answer is, "A lot." I know, because we see it all the time.

Stupid, Crazy, Dysfunctional Advice!

*Words of Wisdom by my Good Friend & Mentor Tom 'Big Al' Schreider*

"If you cut your legs off in that lawn mower, don't come running to me!"

"If you poke your eye out with that stick, don't come looking for me!"

That's the kind of worthless advice many network marketing distributors receive on their journey of discovery. We tell our distributors what to accomplish, but not how to accomplish it.

For instance:

We tell new distributors to be positive, but we don't tell them the exact method to quickly reprogram their minds.

We tell new distributors to talk to their skeptical relatives and friends, but we don't tell them exactly which subconscious mind statements to use to approach their prospects.

We tell new distributors to be a leader, but we don't tell them the first ten key principles of practical leadership.

Our problem is that we are so excited about sponsoring the next new distributor that we forget our duty to develop and train our present distributors. It's human nature, but at least we can improve on our present efforts.

I make a conscious decision to invest time, money and energy in every new distributor. Even with that conscious decision, sometimes I forget.

And what's really important about all this? It's not what we teach and train, it is what our new distributors master. I keep a small checklist of basic leadership principles that my new distributors must master. Usually the new distributor only masters two or three principles at best. That just means I must keep investing time and energy until the job is done.

The key is:

It's not a checklist of what you teach . . . it's a checklist of what the new distributor masters.

This change of viewpoint is what makes effective leaders.

You can put off learning the skills to make real money in network marketing. In fact, you can delay the bigger bonus checks as long as you want. But when you finally decide that now is the time to make money from your efforts, here is where you will start to learn the skills you need.

Thanks A Milliion To My Good Friends and Mentors Tom 'Big Al' Schreider and Michael Dlouhy

USE YOUR TALENT TO BECOME SUCCESSFUL

Truely successful people don't use others....others use them.

If you can contribute something to another person no matter how small your talent, you too can become successful. The measure of anyone is the number of people that they serve.

Service to others is the essence of success. No one achieves success without being of service. This is why I mentor for free! I totally have a true love and passion for helping others no matter what they may need.
I have the ability to get the other persons point of view and find their talent. Some people think they have no talent, but we all have some talent to share. I am good with numbers and my husband is not such a good number crucher. My husband is good at speaking many different languages. I can only speak English.

All great men and women became successful because they gave some talent or ability in the service of others.

Everybody has something to offer to somebody. I ask you....what kinds of talents do you have to offer?

M-L-M Success - Bond With Your Dream

A good salesman can have you picturing your dream life in moments, and then actually LIVING that dream life, because he's going to leverage YOUR mental image to sell you HIS product or service. The better he can link what he's selling to your dream, the sooner you'll make that buying decision.

That's how sales works. The best salesperson gets you to visualize exactly what you want, in all its detail. Knowing that, why not use this technique on yourself?

We talk about visualization a lot. But do you actually ever DO it? And if so, are you doing it effectively?

Why not model the successful sales pro? YOU call the shots. Bond with your dream using all your senses - sight, sound, smell, touch, taste. Make it 100% vivid, just like you are really there now. Write down the details of the dream you are picturing, so you can use those details over and over.

Do it every day. The sooner you bond with your dream every day, the sooner you will pay the price to achieve it.

That is how life works.

IS YOUR GLASS ALWAYS HALF FULL ?

Is your glass always half full or are you one of those people who always find something to complain about?

There is a good side to every situation. Do you view your problems as opportunities ?

You cannot have the success without the failures my friends. Any experience can be transformed into something positive.

It all depends on the way you choose to look at .

What are your stumbling blocks ? Defeat can be stepping stones to victory if you remain determined.

With all of your adversities you can find the seeds of equivalent advantages. In every defeat there is a lesson showing you how to win the next time.

I ask you again....Is your glass always half full?

YOU CAN PLANT YOUR OWN DREAM WITH A GOAL

Most people who have a goal succeed. Without a goal there is no is no achievement.

If you are to accomplish anything in a big way a definitive objective must be established.

The first step to getting the things you want out of life is this. Decide what you want. The world will turn aside and let you pass if you know where you are going.

Goals give you a starting place and a destination. Determine what you want. Decide on your major objections, targets, and destination.

I used to struggle with goal setting. I was always the one who procrasticated and let my thoughts wonder about how I was going to accomplish my goals. I worried more about the how then the actual goal.

Last year I decided to go on faith and set a goal and not worry about how I was going to get it accomplished. I set the goal and put a plan into action and ended up meeting my deadline.

You can plant your own dream, with a goal.

M-L-M Success - See The Big Picture!

We all get in a position at times in our lives where it's hard to see the forest for the trees. That's why it's an important daily habit to step back and look at the big picture.

Self-improvement is continual, gradual, daily change. The problem is, it takes daily focus - which most people tend to lose.

When there's an unexpected crisis, THEN it's easy to focus. You handle the danger on the spot. But when a bad situation develops little by little, day after day, we're often not really aware of the problem until it's too late.

If that situation sounds familiar to you, then it's REALLY important that you see the big picture. Life demands your focus. If you aren't in the daily habit of focusing, then life will send some pain your way to get your attention.

It's a lot less stressful to make life changes on your own schedule, avoiding that crisis. When you look at the big picture and see changes you'd like to make, you can start making them gradually, which is much more pleasant than having life force those changes on you.

Sometimes, even gradual change can be difficult because of the way others see you. If that is the case, then THAT is a good place to start. Think through a plan that will put you in a position where other peoples' preconceived notions don't matter to you - so that all that really matters is what YOU think. Then work that plan on a daily basis. Make it a habit, and make it reality.

Self-improvement is something we all need to do, every day. Avoiding it doesn't work. Instead, step back. Look at the big picture. Which life problem area stands out? Is it something you really want to change? OK. Start. Make a plan and work your plan every day. EVERY day!

Before you know it, you will be a different person. You'll be especially proud of the changes you made in yourself. And this will make you a happier person.
